Terms of Service

ToyVault is a community-driven catalog of vintage toys and collectibles, combined with optional personal collection tracking. The public database and personal collection features are described on our About page.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide a valid email address and choose a username that does not impersonate others or infringe third-party rights.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the community, with or without notice where reasonably necessary.

Catalog content is provided for informational and community purposes. Entries may include official releases, variants, bootlegs, and user-contributed data. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that catalog information is complete, current, or error-free.

Estimated values in the database are community reference figures derived from available market data. They are not appraisals, investment advice, or offers to buy or sell. Actual prices vary by condition, region, and demand.

When you submit catalog suggestions, images, descriptions, or other material ("User Content"), you represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

By submitting User Content for the public catalog, you grant ToyVault a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, and adapt that content for operating and improving the database. Personal collection data remains private unless you choose to share it outside the service.

Moderators may edit, reject, or remove contributions that are inaccurate, duplicate, off-topic, abusive, or otherwise unsuitable.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes or to harass others
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data
• Scrape, overload, or disrupt the service without our written permission
• Upload malware, spam, or content that is defamatory, hateful, or infringing
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

The ToyVault name, branding, and site design are ours or our licensors'. Toy names, images, and trademarks belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.ToyVault is an independent fan and collector project, not affiliated with or endorsed by toy manufacturers unless explicitly stated.

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. EU users benefit from the rights listed there, including access, correction, and erasure.

We provide the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes where practical.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Use of the service is at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToyVault and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain mandatory statutory rights under local consumer protection law.

You may stop using the service at any time. You may request account deletion by emailing privacy@toyvault.app. We may terminate or restrict access if you breach these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where mandatory consumer law allows.

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but we will consider reasonable complaints sent to privacy@toyvault.app.
