About

The community database for vintage toys & collectibles

ToyVault is a community-built reference for vintage toys and action figures. The goal is to document as much of our hobby as possible — the way Discogs does for music releases.

What is ToyVault?

Anyone can browse the public catalog: toy lines, item numbers, release years, photos, descriptions, and community-estimated market values. No account is required to explore.

Create a free account when you want to track your personal collection, build a wishlist, list items for sale on the Marketplace, and keep private notes — separate from the shared database.

Built for completeness, not just official releases

Real collecting is messy. The same figure might exist in multiple card backs, paint variants, regional releases, or third-party bootlegs that still show up at flea markets every weekend.

Variants and bootlegs are welcome here. They are not second-class entries — they are part of the story we want to preserve. If it matters to collectors, it belongs in the catalog.

  • Variants — packaging changes, paint differences, regional releases, reissues
  • Bootlegs and knock-offs — unlicensed copies that are part of collecting history
  • Obscure and niche items — if someone owns it, searches for it, or argues about it online, it deserves a place in the record

Marketplace

The ToyVault Marketplace connects collectors who want to buy and sell. Listings are tied to catalog entries so buyers know exactly which item is offered — including condition, format, and optional photos of your copy.

  • Browse listings — filter by country and shipping options; no account required
  • Sell from your collection — create a listing for a catalog item, or bulk-list multiple items at once
  • Messages — contact a seller through in-app messaging to arrange payment and delivery between yourselves
  • Watch listings — get notified when you follow an item you are interested in

ToyVault does not process payments, handle shipping, or act as an intermediary in any sale. Sales through ToyVault Marketplace are at your own risk between buyer and seller. ToyVault is not a party to any transaction, does not process payments, and is not liable for item condition, shipping, fraud, or disputes.

Signed-in members can manage their listings from the listing page (edit, withdraw, relist, or delete). Active listings also appear on your public profile.

Community first

ToyVault grows through contributions from collectors. Members can suggest new catalog entries, improve existing records, and help moderators keep information accurate.

Market values in the database are community estimates, refreshed from real-world listings where possible — always labeled by condition (loose, new/sealed, and so on). They are reference figures, not financial advice.

Contribute

Signed-in members can suggest new items for moderator review. Staff and trusted contributors can add or edit catalog entries directly.

Privacy & legal
