This policy explains how ToyVault uses cookies and similar technologies on https://toyvault.app, in accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive as implemented in national law and alongside the GDPR.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage entries in your browser. They help websites remember preferences or keep you signed in.
2. How we use cookies
ToyVault uses a minimal set of cookies and local storage. We do not use advertising cookies, social media trackers, or third-party analytics such as Google Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics on our production site to measure page views and performance in aggregate. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may also process technical connection data in server logs. That processing is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Legal basis
- Strictly necessary cookies are required to provide authentication and security. Under EU law, these do not require consent before use.
- Preference storage (theme and view mode) improves your experience without tracking you across sites. We store these locally based on your interaction with the site.
5. Cookie consent banner
Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, local preference storage, and privacy-friendly Vercel Web Analytics (no marketing trackers) — we do not show a cookie consent banner. If we add non-essential cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
6. How to manage cookies
You can control cookies and local storage through your browser:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings
- Clear site data for https://toyvault.app
- Use private/incognito mode for a session without persistent storage
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from staying signed in. Clearing preference storage will reset your theme and view choices.
